Greetings sorors and friends,

On behalf of the dedicated members of the Fort Washington Alumnae Chapter (FWAC) of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., I welcome you to our website. Chartered on April 28, 1990 by 24 dedicated women and then Regional Director and our 22nd National President, Gwendolyn E. Boyd, the sorors of FWAC have been serving Southern Prince George’s and Charles Counties for 22 years and was awarded Chapter of the Year in 2008 at the 49th National Convention.

“A Sisterhood Called to Serve: Transforming Lives, Impacting Communities” is our National theme which the over 390 members of FWAC have embraced. This theme is exhibited during our various community programs such as Delta Day at the School Board, Delta GEMS, Delta Academy, Scholarships, Small Business Expo, Teen Summit, clean well-water in Africa, and voter registration drives. Our community programs are designed to address the changing educational, economic, social, international, and political atmosphere, in conjunction with Delta’s Programmatic Thrusts and the vision of our 22 Founders.
