Greetings Sorors and Friends,

It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the official website of the Fort Washington Alumnae Chapter (FWAC) of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., chartered in 1990. We are honored to have you explore our website to learn more about our dynamic, dedicated and distinguished chapter and the many programs we have that provide public service to our community.

Our chapter of over 200 members is committed to positively impacting Southern Prince George’s and Charles Counties in Maryland and is excited about the opportunities for continued service in our community. Each year, FWAC awards over $10,000 in scholarships and provides much needed services to the community through the Angel’s Watch, Dr. Betty Shabazz Delta Academy, Dr. Jeanne L. Noble Delta GEMS, Senior Friendly Visitors and the Adopt-a-Family programs. For the last four years, FWAC has put the ACTION back in Social Action by focusing on three key areas - Crime, Education and Health.

During this biennium, we hope to "Take FWAC To New Heights” through our committed service while effectively and compassionately meeting the needs of our community. We strive to continue the legacy of providing outstanding public service while working within our national organization’s theme of “Delta Sigma Theta-A Sisterhood Called to Service: Transforming Lives, Impacting Communities.” Specifically, we will expand our current program offerings to embrace the national initiatives that will focus on the physical, economic, and educational empowerment of the African American Community.

While FWAC is dedicated to improving the state of our community, we need your help to be effective. The success of our efforts depends largely on your support. We ask that you continue to help us effect positive social change by supporting our fundraising activities and attending our public service events.
