The Coalition for Stronger Communites, Inc (CSC) formally called the FWAC-DST Foundation, Inc. provides grants to Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Fort Washington Alumnae Chapter (FWAC) to award scholarships to area students and provide support for community service programs in Southern Prince George’s and Charles Counties in Maryland. These valuable programs address education, health, international development and strengthening families.
LifeStyles of Maryland Foundation, Inc is a non-profit organization and compassionate care center founded in 1998 that has worked fervently to provide services to those who are economically disadvantaged and address the needs of our community. We have worked with individuals and agencies to make known these needs and assist in finding solutions to meet them. Our mission is to provide compassionate programs and services to assist those who are underserved in our community resulting in Help, Hope, and Transformation.
Each year, we serve approximately 13,000 – 15,000 individuals with everything from shelter, food, showers, laundry, mailing services, clothing, financial assistance, transportation, and access to health care and education. LifeStyles connects individuals to available resources by assessing their needs determining their eligibility and implementing necessary services.
Additionally, the organization identifies gaps and works to develop programs which bridge these gaps. These programs focus on housing, health education, human services and transportation. Most of all, we want people to know we care.
